Helping women feel calm and grounded through their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum seasons.

About Barefoot Birth Care
I’m Holli, a birthkeeper and doula. Birth work and postpartum care is truly a heart-calling for me. It has cracked my heart open and filled it with so much joy and purpose. I am a nurturer at the core, and I’ve loved babies for as long as I can remember— I’ve always wanted to be a mother.
My passion for this work was born as I began to connect more with the women in my community by holding women’s circles and learning about the childbearing cycle. For as long as I can remember, birth always seemed like something miraculous and significant to me— a sacred rite of passage, and a true gift from God. As I began to dive more into womb health, I realized there’s a lack of support for pregnant women and new mothers in our country and a lot of perceptions and messages surrounding birth are centered in fear rather than empowerment.
That’s when birth and postpartum work began to call my name and my passion to help mothers feel confident, informed, and in-control of their birth experience ignited. It has been my honor to work as a birth and postpartum doula since 2022 where I completed a eye opening doula program and began studying under a midwife in Texas. I am always learning and growing my skills through online courses, books, and holding space for all types of birth. A huge passion of mine is studying birth and postpartum care practices from cultures around the world.
I specialize in creating a safe, gentle, positive, and empowering environment in the birthing room, no matter where you choose to birth. My commitment is to help you feel supported and confident in both birth and postpartum.
I believe it is incredibly important that mothers choose to birth where they are comfortable— whether that is at home, at a birth center, or in a hospital.
Birth and postpartum are truly sacred seasons and deserved to be recognized as such. It fills my heart to the brim to support mothers holistically, physiologically, and make sure they feel honored and cared for in these tender and powerful moments.
I love weaving ancient practices into care like the use of herbs, teas, movements, rest and nourishing foods.
Outside of the birth room I’m an earthy, Jesus loving gal that loves herbal teas, a good latte, hiking, backpacking, cycling, reading, gardening, and spending time outdoors with my partner.
I am so happy you’re here. I see and honor you, and I am excited to co-create with you on your journey.
May God bless you!
